How I coach at Five Frogs Coaching

What to expect from my coaching

Life Coaching is a very broad term, and, understandably, people have misconceptions about it. Let’s start with what it’s NOT:

  • Life Coaching doesn’t mean you’re weak (after all, if you were an athlete, you’d expect to have a coach, right? Right.)
  • Life Coaching isn’t counselling
  • Life Coaching isn’t psychotherapy
  • Life Coaching isn’t about what the coach wants you to do
  • Life Coaching isn’t about changing who you are.

My coaching is:

  • Emotionally safe guidance and support to help you explore your life purpose, set your goals and work towards achieving the life you were meant to live
  • Objective third party help to guide you to the answers about your life that are authentically yours, with compassion and without judgement
  • Access to a range of pragmatic, practical tools to get you where you want to be
  • Honest and “no bullshit” feedback on how you’re progressing towards your goals.

I believe that Life Coaching should be practical, pragmatic, and honest. I don’t believe we can always be cheery, positive and energetic. Life is complicated and human beings are complex creatures.

I believe, though, that we can change the way our brains behave when things get tricky. The brain is an amazingly plastic organ and is capable of astounding changes. Unfortunately, most of us develop unsupportive habits of thinking that hold us back, and keep us miserable. Coaching can help you break these habits.

As your coach, I’ll guide you through a process of self-discovery, which will help clarify your essential nature. Then we’ll work together to design your life to be in line with who you were meant to be, and I’ll help you develop some mental and physical habits that support your new life. I’ll help you identify and break down the obstacles that are stopping you from moving from fearful to fabulous so you can live the life you deserve.

I specialise in helping my clients work out their life-purpose, shed their fears, and develop supportive habits, both physically and mentally, to remove the fear-based obstacles that hold them back. You can read more about the methodology I use at Hart Life Coaching. I am also a member of the International Coaching Federation and abide by their Code of Ethics.

My coaching sessions are usually 1 hour long, via Skype, and you can expect homework from each session. I know. Trust me, the results are worth it! You can book as many sessions with me as you feel you need – a rough guide is between six and eight sessions per goal – but there’s no rule book.
